Abstract
This chapter reviews and discusses the continuous flow synthesis of conjugated polymers and carbon materials. Using a commercial flow reactor, conjugated polymers with applications in organic light-emitting diode (OLED) and organic photovoltaic (OPV) were synthesized. Syntheses performed in continuous flow reactors benefit from increased mixing and heat exchange over batch conditions. Carbon nanotubes are extraordinary materials, and the development of synthetic methodology for their efficient and controlled production is of great interest. In a departure from the solution-phase flow syntheses, the synthesis of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) has been reported using gas-phase process..
